Contract Awards

As a result of the outstanding performance delivered by Power Mechanical in 2005/2006 & 2006/2007 Amec Jacobs Stork (AJS) have extended its Integrated Service Agreement with the company until 2010.

Paolo Moretti, Managing Director of Power Mechanical commented, “we are delighted to have this prestigious contract extended.  The commitment by our internal team managing this agreement, has been exceptional in providing fast turnaround of equipment and services to enable production on the Shell platforms in the Southern sector of the North Sea to continue with minimal down time losses, we appreciate AJS’s vote of confidence in our organisation”.

National Grid

Power Mechanical’s expertise in gas transmission systems has led to the company being awarded the St Fergus Emissions Reduction project through Land & Marine. Fail Safe Pneumatic ALGAS actuators and control systems are to be supplied to operate 30” & 36” class 600 Cameron fully welded valve.

New Equipment

Biffi have launched its latest development in actuator and valve technology with its Integrated Monitoring Valve System, IMVS 2000, a fully automated partial stroking, smart valve and actuator diagnostic system.

Unlike other systems on the market which have been adapted or modified to carry out actuator valve partial stroking operations, the IVMS 2000 is the only specifically designed and developed partial stroking and positioner system capable of operating all actuator sizes without flow restriction or the need for costly additional equipment.

The system offers full diagnostics and data logging, allowing valve movements to be trended and compared, and performance evaluated for preventive maintenance and indication of potential valve failure problems.

Winnington Park WPRFU Under 10’s Rugby Team

Power Mechanical has agreed to sponsor Winnington Park Rugby Union Under 10’s, the team who have been doing amazingly well this season were desperate for a new kit.  Winnington Park is one of the oldest Rugby clubs in Cheshire, celebrating its centenary the club has produced some of the finest rugby players in the country over the last 100 years, players such as Dewi Morris & Garth Lloyd

Coming up against some of the other teams in the County the Winnington U10’s boys were looking a bit shabby even if there performance has been far from shabby.  Managing director Paolo Moretti decided to come to the team’s aid and fund the new kit, “I’m delighted we are helping the team, they are a great bunch of lads with an incredible amount of determination, the new kit looks great”.

The boys are pleased too, there was a big cheer from them all during training last weekend as the new team strip was handed out, Harry No1 (scrum half), Ralph (winger), Harry No2 (fly half) and Josh (prop) commented “ the new kit looks fantastic, we look like pro’s!

Good luck for the rest of the season boys!
